Artist Statement

Artist Statement:

I believe that there are 5 important things in my life that I absolutely need. Family, friends, positive vibes, food and dance.

Dance isn’t just a childhood hobby to me, nor is it just a career path I’ve taken to earn money (although that is a positive!). Dance is something I can’t live without and I’ve come to terms with that.

Dance is much more than being physically pushed to my limits to gain strength and the ability to express myself through my movement. Dance is learning to breathe and be a real person. Dance teaches me self disciple and motivates me. Dance has taught me that I’m most successful when I've failed. Dance has given me thick skin and the ability to trust myself. More importantly, dance has taught me to give my honest all and never give anything up, especially dance.
